We are prayerfully setting the goal to hit 100% of the first-year costs of $200,000 by September 19th. This amount will allow us to purchase all the initial supplies and operate over the next year without being distracted by any financial worries. We serve a big God. There are no resources beyond His grasp, and we trust that he has prepared gospel partners to reach this goal. Pray whether God would have you steward your resources for the work in Raleigh.

Tonight we officially announced the core team of King’s Cross Church to our sending church family at Imago Dei. Zac Lyons, Pastor for Missions and Evangelism, introduced the team and shared IDC’s church planting vision for the Triangle. The Raleigh metro area is growing exponentially (the second fasted in the country!) and the churches are not keeping up. In response, Imago Dei has set a goal to plant 10 new churches in the next 10 years, and we are incredibly excited to join in this vision!
Southwest Raleigh is a hub of downtown life and also central to the church planting vision for the Triangle. Nate Claggett, Chad Martin, and Aaron Davenport were able to share the need in Southwest Raleigh, and our desires to see God transform lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We could not be more encouraged by the response of the Imago Dei family. God is clearly the one that brought us together, and we’re all eager to see where God takes us next! The official first public service for King’s Cross Church will be September 26th.
Would you partner with us in Prayer? Pray for us as we plan and prepare over the next few months.
Pray specifically that:
God brings the right people to join the team
We connect with the financial support partners we need for the first years
The team grows together in boldness as we share the gospel of Jesus with the lost
The leadership of King’s Cross Church have wisdom and discernment to shepherd well
That all KCC members grow to “know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge,” and “may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith–that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to him is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
